There are those who are internally displaced, without shelter

Many houses as already pointed out, were destroyed during the 1994 war and genocide. The agony of women without shelter is enormous. Actually, many female (heads of families) have no shelter. Some are living in destroyed huts and find it difficult to sleep at night, especially when the rain falls. And others have to look desperately for money in order to rent small houses.

MBWIRANDUMVA has struggled to make a change in their lives.

MBWIRANDUMVA has built houses for some families who had no shelter at all. As to the families whose houses were not totally destroyed, they have received financial assistance to start low income -generating projects that will help them repair their houses gradually.
